Stephen Morris

Stephen founded Advise RE in 2013 to provide tax consulting and advisory services primarily to real estate developers, investors, and technology firms and executives who incorporate real estate as an investment strategy. In addition to advising and brokering real estate acquisitions for his clients, he has developed many multi-family apartments in the city of Los Angeles where he is responsible for sourcing new acquisition opportunities, raising capital, and financial operations.
He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California and is a licensed real estate broker as well as a member of the CCIM Institute. He has served in accounting and finance roles in the real estate and technology sectors his entire career. He started at Ernst & Young, LLP in the real estate audit practice and later served in executive accounting and finance capacities at several large privately held firms.
Stephen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles where he graduated with honors and a Master’s degree in Business Taxation from the Kenneth Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California.
Diana (Tang) Tung
CPA, MBT
Diana Tang joined Advise RE in 2021. Prior to joining us, she was a senior manager at Ernst & Young LLP in the Financial Services Office tax practice, serving the asset management industry. She has over a decade of experience managing tax compliance and consulting services for a wide range of asset management clients, working exclusively with private equity funds, hedge funds, fund of funds and fund advisors.
Diana is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master’s degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California.
Karen Park

Karen Park, Co-Founder and Partner of Advise RE, has over ten years of working with ultra-high net worth families, C-Suite executives, and investment funds. Karen regularly collaborates with international counterparts in Asia, continuously engaging in multinational business activities. Her career in the international space took off after repeated success in the market providing solutions to high-profile foreign investors. Through her passion for cross-border transactions and her ability to navigate the complex issues surrounding international taxation, she has become one of the industry’s most respected practitioners.
Karen is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her B.A. in Business Administration with 1st Division and Second Honors from the University of Derby. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, where she was awarded the prestigious Hemphill/Redmond Tax Fellowship for her outstanding academic performance during her graduate tax programs. Along with her academic achievements, she also serves on the board of ACE NextGen, SoCal Chapter, a non-profit organization that provides resources to young Asian American entrepreneurs. Her accomplishments was further recognized in LA Weekly, where she was featured as one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs Redefining Success in 2023.
Robert Ames
CPA
Robert has over 15 years of experience in risk management, corporate governance, human resources, business process improvement, and complex financial analysis, with senior analytical and relationship management roles at the US Treasury Department, Deloitte Touche Tomatsu Ltd, and Westpac Banking Corporation. He has also acted as an outsourced HR Manager/Recruiter for our clients.
He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he graduated with honors.
Robert is also our subject matter expert on a number of accounting, business, and tax subjects, including: Employee Retention Credits, Paycheck Protection Program Loans, Research & Development Credits, S-Corporation conversion analysis, tax projections, income shifting strategies, payroll taxes, human resources, and California employment considerations.
On a personal level, Robert keeps himself quite active with his three dogs – Zena, Max, and Dwight. Robert also enjoys attending baseball games (Go Dodgers!), fitness, and going to the beach.
